Artist description
The Retro Delicatessen formed back in the mid-90s, a few guys in high school wanted to get together and sing some songs about girls. We began sort of as a Weezer cover band but expanded to do mostly all our own music and a few covers here and there. We were said to sound like many things, but overall just the Retro Deli. |

Artist History
In highschool sophomore year, we formed to write songs of girls and take over the rock world. We played for many years, put out an "underground local epic" album which can be found on this site, and began another.. maybe one day we will get back together and finish it. As of now, the Retro Deli is broken up, singer/guitarist Jesse Davis is still in Maryland writing with his experimental punkpop band My Sister Kate along with drummer Joey Rankin... Jake Beamer is in Florida with his new hard rock outfit Blue Ruin.. and Jon Aitken is in Texas.. we all miss him. Maybe one day we can meet up and let the Deli live on. Right now though, it has to live on in faithful listeners' hearts.. and with all the mp3s up here, you can finally get ahold of our recordings we scarcely released and you people have been bugging me for years about!! Whew. |
