Artist History
OG MAC-DADDY formed the Talent Record label in 2000 to promote vocal artists like 2SWEET, 2SHOR-4SHURE and FRADET. As the writer/promoter/manager for these artists, OG MAC found that some of the songs he wrote were great songs, but were not suited for these artists. Hence, he decided to record songs himself. Soon songs like "LOVE JONES" and "JACKIE'S SONG" become the key to the label's success. |

Press Reviews
Now comes OG MAC-DADDY, record executive, promoter, manager, songwriter, artist. As the president of Talent Records OG MAC is on a mission to put LOVE back into the music field. His writing style is unique in that he only writes and sings "Something for the ladies". Using a style reminescent of Barry White he caresses his lyrics and uses a healthy portion of sensuality to speak to the longing within the female breast. While his words are often barely audable above the music, OG has an unusual ability to choose just the right phrase at just the right time to create a vocal and musical "FANTASY" for the ladies. One can quicky see that his writing was influenced by such romantics as Smokey Robinson, R Kelly and Curtis Mayfield. Clearly OG MAC is only concerned about identifying with the female audience. We shall see if this strategy works. In any case, I found his style to be quite refreshing and relaxing and the moving "Jackie's Song" appears to actualy be a new form of music"Jeff Fradet, Millionaire Makers Magazine 2000 |
