Artist History Before they were Nica, they were just a dream in the hearts of two aspiring young musicians: keyboardist Jamieson Trotter and drummer Tim Campbell. In the winter of 95'fueled by their passion for music,their new found friendship and songwriting colaboration, the choice of a career in music together was obvious. For four yearsthe duo played the college scene to develop their funk and jazz chops in a band known simply as SKB. With the loss of the majority of SKB's original linupin 99, and the band's difficulty in procuring a new singer, the dream was beginning to fade. Everything changed in a chance meeting in a Beverly Hills clothing boutique.Jamieson and Tim, now joined by new members Joe Plutschow (bass) and Nate LaPointe (guitar) were in desperate need of a talented singer to give voice to their growing arsonalof songs. Singer Vincent Slade was also at this wit's end searching for musicians to form a band. Then one day, a small miracle happened. Jamieson's stepmother was shoppingat Vincent's workplace (HUGO BOSS), and out of sheer intuition asked if Vincent was a singer. Sure enough, he was a singer; and a week later Nica's Dream first met. There wasinstant chemistry, Vincent's powerful, yet light and airy vocals flowed gracefully through the band's percolating, funky foundation. Under the managerial direction of Zazou productions,the evolving supergroup is currently storming the LA club scene, and enjoying an ever-increasing industry buzz.
