Artist description
I've been fascinated by music almost from the beginning, since I saw the light of day in 1971. First I was attracted by my fathers instruments: Double bass, organ, all kinds of electronic circoutboards. Help! The bass was nearly five times taller than I! In my first scool years finally me was allowed to play an instrument by myself - the baritone shawn in the orchestra of my school. Later I took musik lessons for two years to learn to play the transverse flute. I sung and played in the singing group of my school. But really I approached the passion to make musik in 1987, when I began my apprenticeship as a toolmaker. From a musical project of our class grew the rock band Tumult (www.mp3.com/tumult_paratot) where I was playing the bass. The time with Tumult was musically the most important for me, but also relating to the "message" music can/should contain. Namely we lived in those days in the (already fairly liberal) GDR and we strugggled for a true reform of the socialistic system. After apprenticeship I've been involved in several musical projects. I played keyboards in a wave band, guitar in a sixties cover band and I built an acoustic repertoire, above all with songs of Ton Steine Scherben/Rio Reiser (best german band ever!). In 1996 I realized my biggest musical dream which I've had for 16 years: I bought my first real synthesizer and began to built up my home studio. A cross-section of my musicalic work since this time you will find on the CD Rauschfreiheit (2000). I'm happy about every mail (feedback, contact, or anything)! :o) |
