Artist description
On Leo King.Leo King is a reclusive, unusually gifted British composer who has been producing musical works for private commission for many years. His works are timely, sometimes quirky, but always harmonious, appealing and exciting. His smooth and deeply-textured compositions address and relate to a wide range of musical tastes from pop/rock, country/folk to serious light classical, orchestral and choral works. Sydney Two Thousand’s the Place to Be is one of two special compositions he has completed inspired by the traditional folk-melody used in Waltzing Matilda. The second is Packman’s Canon, a serene invention for string ensemble weaving novel and harmonious musical material within a canonical structure which turns out to be based on (an only slightly modified) Pachelbel’s Canon. |
