Artist History The Kung Fu Trunx (KFT) started in 1997. With only one person, Miguel Ribeiro (vocals, guitar, bass, machines, etc.), who had the experience of another band (Ciosoon). First Miguel Ribeiro started to use trackers, now he is changing his mode of work to Pro Sequencers and various machines. The KFT makes “projects” of musics, for example: extracting real strange samples and make a type of musics called project (on time, with a name) , witch gives a many different projects. But KFT are not alone, there are some guests musicians, like Joana Oliveira (vocals), Pastel (guitar), Pirata (grunhs), etc.. In 1998 KFT entered on a contest organized by Deixe de Ser Duro de Ouvido that showcases emerging musical talent in Portugal. They won the Dance category award given directly by Sony and some of the most prestigious music magazines and radio stations. They had several life performances like Festival Paredes de Coura, EXPO 98 (Lisbon), Queima das Fitas de Braga, Queima das Fitas de Coimbra, etc.. Participated too in the 1st and 2nd (consecutive) Portuguese RolandGroove Contest... KFT are now working to record a CD, lets see the results…
