    Artist History
Kinetique was influenced early by the first electronic giants like Fatboy Slim, and Chemical Brothers. After realizing they sucked and also realizing i had the potential to do this and more, i branched out into different genres and explored every type of electronic music i have came across. Enjoying Intelligent and Techno also Experimental the most, Kinetique jumped on and tried to make some beats starting in 1999. Using a few cheap software components, Kinetique evolved into full scale production and promotion from 1999 to 2002. Now, Kinetique sits at home, samples sounds, voices, and paranormal energy and creates a very dizzy spectrum from smooth electronica, to hectic and ill-structured IDM and Minimalistic Ambience. Kinetique has an independant online virtual label at http://kinetique.homestead.com

Writing The Wave Interview for Kinetique Productions founder, artist, and solo producer "Kinetique" Q: Why are you a solo artist? C:Well mostly cause I just like doing my own thing. I like my own variety of music and styles and I know what direction Im heading in. I know exactly what I want to do when I plug everything in. Sometimes I dont actually, But I have to find that groove on my own. Ive never really had any help from others so I just learned to craft my style solo. I enjoy the freedom. Favorite CD:My Bloody Valentine "Isnt Anything" Q: Who the hell are you? A: Mike Kanavel 21, USA Q: How long have you been in music? C: Nearly 5 years seriously, But all my life Ive tasted music. Q: Who influenced you? A: Everything influences me. My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana still does, Um, Aphex Twin sorta. Cylob, Alot of noises i hear on tv in my sleep. Q: How many women have you slept with? A: Alot more than I should have. Q: Married, single, divorced? A: Who knows. Sometimes?.. Q Have you ever even played in a band? Or live? Well, a couple of times, and yeah maybe in a band or two, never really considered ourselves a band in solid form. Q: Do you think anyone gives a crap about what you do? C: All I can say is thank goodness I am doing this for myself. And I get loads of free music out of the deal. Q: Do you have anymore music coming out in the future? C: Yes, we have loads and loads of music coming out at Kinetique Productions, check out the website, sign up, stay informed, watch us. Please save me from welfare and depression. . Q: What kind of music do you make? A Self description. A: If you are signin me to a label then I'll have to tell you something so, Experimental, Techno, Hints of IDM, Ambient, House, ETC. Now, if you are just an everyday joe, I'll tell you to find out for yourself, call it what you see fit. You name it. Its electronic computerized MUSIC. Q: What do you do besides make music? A: Nothing, spend time with a selected group of sometimes insignificant others. I hate new music so I dig up old music and movies including tours and concerts and just try and find some old inspiration. Seriously, are any new up and coming bands worthy of inspiration?? None of these motherfuckers could hand out any inspiration to anyone ever. Fuck. . Q: You're interviews are outlandish, funny and crazy. Are you concerned you may offend someone? C: I hope maybe through the internet, interviews, chat sessions, and other shit I may get lucky and offend someone, Other than that when I make mostly instrumental music its hard to offend. I did manage to offend a few though by releasing shitty CD's that were obviously shitty. Now I fixed that. . Q: Why Do you doctor your photos? C: Everyone does.Magical photoshop and other shit. I hate photoshop for some odd reason. How much material do you have compiled? A: alot. youll see, someday. you have to be patient and follow me to eternity....
