    Artist description
RISE TO POWER is the first independently produced cd by the phenomena known as 99AD. Tucked within the rolling hills of High Point lies a tiny three room shack, complete with couch, bed, drums, guitars, and a case of beer. It is within' these walls that this premier cd was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered, with little more than a den full of drums, a reluctant computer, and a production budjet of thirty five bucks (for the beer) Screaming guitars, powerful vocals, and a backbone rythym section pump out new flavors of alternative rock. Terrified residents of the surrounding High Point area often report sightings of the clan of four in local clubs, complaining of loud sounds and a euphoric feeling. It is now possible (for the daring) to witness the madness for yourself - from a safe distance - on Wednesday nights at the Triangle in High Point. (Starting 6-6-01) Stay Tuned

Monday May 7th, 2001 99AD99AD is an upbeat, unique band from the hills of Highpoint, NC. The four started the band in a three room shack with nothing more than a couch, bed, drums, guitars, and a case of beer. However, they came out with a cd named Rise To Power. It sends powerful messages to all that listen and rock the house at the same time. 99AD formed when members of the bands Mystic Nation and Lucid joined forces. This band is truely one of a kind. The four musicians in 99AD just look like they could rock! This band definitly knows what's going on and you can check them out if you're ever in the High point area:The band can be heard every Wednesday night (starting 6-6-01) at the Triangle in High Point. Review of Change For A Penny by 99AD Rock and freggin' roll Awesome intro with smooth vocals. Today I have heard 4 of the greatest songs ever and this is one of them. Damn! The guitarist is really, really good. Two vocalist that mold the song into awesomeness. The song is wild. I love the way the guitar solo is added within the middle of the song. This is where the guitarists true skills are shown off.
