Artist History Verdammnis were founded in late 96, by drummer and vocalist Umbra and guitarrist/bassist/keyboarder Durson. Since the beginning, we decided not to make the classic antichristian black metal with tons of keyboards, but rough music with dramatic melodies. A first Demo-tape, entitled "Auf dem Weg...zur Unendlichkeit" (On the way...to eternity) was recorded in summer 97 and featured 3 now quite rare songs. A few months later the second guitarrist and live-vocalist Lord Tonreg joined the band and influenced the style. A few successful concerts were performed, and finally in september 2000 the band began to record their first full-length CD "Verbannt" in Dursonīs MODERLOCH Studio and to be released on Dursonīs very own label. But weīre not signed by a real label yet - so watch out, labels and zines !!
