LOCAL ROCKERS PLAY TO FILL FOOD BANK SHELVES Music might be the food of love - it can also bring food for the body. Five local bands are performing Saturday at a benifit for the Abbotsford food bank. The groups - Diliberately Offensive, Ministry of Love, THE UNPEOPLE, A.P.E., and Sack Blabbath - are made up of area secondary students. Toews Music has donated equipment for the show. The concert will be at the W.A. Fraser elementry school gym, with doors opening at 6:30, and concert at 7:00. Admission is a can of food or $2, with all proceeds going to the food bank.-The Times-Tuesday, Janurary 9, 2001. |
