Artist History Substance was formed in Helsinki, Finland in 1997. Starting out as a fourpiece, Substance has evolved into a trio. Although Substance has yet to play more than 10 gigs around Finland, it has already attracted enough attention to merit a deal with a small Finnish company called soundmen.net. The band is due to release two singles by the end of the year, and are planning to release a full record within six months.
