Press Reviews
Bill Binkelman from Wind and Wire Magazinesummary: One of the more atmospheric CDs.review: Darragh Nagle THE LAND OF FAERIE Star Rider Records (1995) Time: 43:49 Music that evokes images of fantasy and the unseen worlds around us is not easy to do without it sounding cloying or sweet. That's why this release from Darragh Nagle is special. Using a wide assortment of keyboards, Darragh has painted a lush and varied landscape that swings from soft and delicate to mysterious and even dark at times. Not exactly ambient and not really space music, this is also not what I'd call new age either. It's a different breed altogether and one marked by a variety of moods. Fans of electronic music with some whimsy, drama and variety should consider The Land of Faerie. |
