Press Reviews
Latest great review is from 'Last Resort' alternative zine. It is for a recent demo and reads:RYDELL - Demo3 (By Roger King).Hmmm, an intriguing one this. Jangly guitars working over a punishing rhythm section, punctuated by passionate yet somehow understated vocals. I can't really put my finger on why it's so damn fantastic...I just know that it is! Maybe it's because it sounds so unlike anything i've ever heard before...or because they've written some classic musical moments where they manage to be both breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly heavy whilst not being obvious about either! The nearest comparisons i can draw are the likes of Bob Tilton but something about RYDELL elevates them onto another plain. I can't wait to hear what they come up with next. The only thing i can say about Rydell with any certainty is that you really should hear them. |
