Artist description
Plasma has drawn on the diverse musical heritage of its members to fashion a truly contemporary pop sound. The recently recorded five song demo showcases the eclectic musicianship that Plasma has to offer its listeners: a sophisticated pop featuring evocative piano, at times inspired by world music themes, all held together by Chantal Quesnel's jazzy vocals. Sometimes light and jazzy, at other times dark and brooding, Plasma's music is always impassioned and emotive. |

Artist History
Plasma was formed in early 1998 when Hessam Kalantar began a songwriting collaboration with vocalist Chantal Quesnel and production expert Glen Harris. The converging musical backgrounds brought about an unabashedly hip feel to Hessam's musical landscapes. Eager to embrace a contemporary sound, but also insistent on preserving the feel of the influences which had inspired the music, the trio have crafted something which is simply cutting edge. |
