Artist description
Michael Sherwood founded the rock band Lodgic on A&M Records in the late eighties. He went on to become a Warner-Chappell writer who has had songs recorded by many other artists including Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. Michael toured in 1995 with then RCA recording Danny Peck, opening for Richie Havens and Joan Baez. Michael Sherwood was frequently featured local artist on Los Angeles’ influential KSCA 101.9. Recently tracks from Tangletown were featured in regular rotation on "The Sound of the City" on L.A.’s AM 1230. His other record credits include background singing with Don Henley, and backgrounds on songs for the Yes album, "Union." (Michael’s brother Billy is the newest member of Yes.) Michael can also be heard playing keyboards on Four Non Blondes’ "Misty Mountain Hop" from the Led Zeppelin tribute album, and with Lisa Loeb on an upcoming Ozzy Osbourne tribute record. Michael and his band are currently appearing with actor Michael Keaton in the feature Jack Frost. Michael’s many film and and television credits include featured songs in The Game, starring Sean Penn and Michael Douglas. He wrote and produced tracks for the MCA soundtrack for Steve Buscemi’s Tree’s Lounge. He has scored many nationally aired television commercials including spots for Nike, McDonalds and Lexus. Most recently, Michael just produced the new Gluey Brothers album, 'Stiff for the Elders' which is now available in both stereo and DTS 5.1 Surround Sound . |

Tangletown is produced by Steve McCormick (Phil Cody Band, Interscope). The band includes Steve McCormick on guitars, Jamie Chez (Prince) on drums and Tom Filacetta on bass. Also featured are the superb backing vocals of C.C. White (Barry White) and Danny Peck (former RCA recording artist.) Featured performers include Paul Bushnell (Edna Swap, New Radicals) on bass, Billy Sherwood (Yes) on backing vocals, and Cameron Stone (Bliss) on cello. |
