Artist description
Nini Camps, a native of Miami Florida, has made NYC her home. Constant touring as a solo artist, a duo with her drummer and full on band shows with LOVEPIE have given Camps' audience a sence that anything can happen when she hits the stage. These powerhouse performances, her unique blend of acoustic slide guitar, pop melodies and her Cuban Heritage have given Camps an identity that is truly her own.
LOVEPIE, her debut CD, was recorded in the living room of a Queens NYC apartment. With the help of Marilyn Damato, 10 melodic and powerful acoustic/folk/pop songs, and a minimum of recording equipment, this CD captures the raw energy and talent of Nini and her band. LOVEPIE has been seen and heard on college radio and several Independent Films. The CD's most notable highlights include; "Hunker Down", track 7, was featured on the WB series "Felicity", "Thoughts of You", track 6, was featured on the Family Network series "The Mary Kate and Ashley Show" & album art was seen in Meadows dorm room on the HBO series "The Sopranos".

Press Reviews
"Nini's songwriting is as solid as her guitar playing is sure...she rocks...at once the music is sincere and commercial." - Songwriters Monthly
"There's confusion, yearning, lonliness and joy all wrapped up in a tidy bundle of catchy tunes that rival anything on the radio today. Camp's expressive delivery and melodic guitar playing leap out." - American Independent Music |
