Artist description
"Style-Mergers," "Hyphenated" music that combines many styles freely and without apology. This is a truly original musician & band. The music is also "Advocacy" or "Activist" music as it is very much about the message within the art, the hope for social and political change and the conviction that music can be a vehicle for such change. |

Press Reviews
“They are a band to witness: Just the way they handle their instruments is enough to make you neglect your cocktail, your conversation, your date.”- M.B. Abbott, Boulder Weekly, BOULDER, CO “Swift resists being labeled a singer-songwriter. In fact, she resists being labeled anything at all. ‘People like to put things in categories so they can put a lid on it and walk away,’ she says, ‘but my lid won’t stay down.’”- Mare Wakefield, Eugene Weekley, EUGENE, OR “superb musicianship”- Chart Magazine (Canadian National Publication) “I’ve read good lyrics before – but none better than Swift’s. I’ve heard original music before – but none more original than Swift’s. I’ve heard interesting arrangements, melodies, song structure; instrumental techniques and thematic material before – but none more interesting than Swift’s.”- David Gobeil Taylor, Vue Weekly, Aug.1998 “She continues to spread her multi-faceted music to those who appreciate something more interesting than the radio friendly mainstream.”- Dave Alexander, The Gateway, Mar.2000 Edmonton, AB |
