Artist description
DeVil was originally a soundtrack and instrumental project by Martin Hyde and Robert Hart. Both Martin and Rob had been writing and performing music for about 10 years. They had extensive experience of many instruments and techniques including piano, guitar, bass, sequencers, samplers, midi, keyboards and recording (Rob being a qualified sound engineer). Their music is moody, emotional, heavily melodic and very powerful. However, DeVil is now just Martin, producing instrumental pieces, but in a wider range of styles (including dance music). Martin uses DeVil to develop and experiment with new musical styles. |

Press Reviews
De VilWell, I found something which fits the description of what I was looking for excellently: De Vil's Music Box. www.mp3.com/devil A great song, very dramatic, cohesive without being repetitive. Regression was my least favorite, as I didn't think it had enough creativity in it. The Fallen and the Stalker were both very good, although I think the Stalker sounds better for someone who is trying to get somewhere in a hurry rather than someone who is being chased... they are being chased by time or some deep personal (figurative) demon. I'm looking forward to future works by this artist(s).I think I can put a finger on what I'm looking for - Film Music! |
