Press Reviews
review from DJ Magazine, March 1999:TWIST THE KNOB / Da MoochA percussive house groover that swirls, twists and rolls, really kicking into action after the initial drop. The repeating 'you got to be there' vocal loops away effectively, while hand claps, piano lines, violin touches and zithering 'space age' noises enhance, regardless of a few cliched filter moments. T-Walker: "Its a big one on my Transatlantic Mix show for its Subliminal funk feel. The vocal wails over a killa funk riff and obligatory filter workout, and its the strength of the riff that's bound to kick things into action. Toward the end of the main mix things drop to a big piano line with some really nice chords, and major hands-in-the-air moments." K-Klass: "Right up our street, 'Twist The Knob' is a real groover that kicks into a very cool funking disco groover. 'Keep On Dancin' has a more solid groove over its driving top line, working up and down the filter. Just as good, both mixes being the perfect sound of now." ***** RR |
