Artist History Paul Heiderscheidt provides the intelligent song writing that forms the backbone of Baby Newt. He grew up in the urban northeast but moved to rural Oregon in 1994 after finishing med school in Boston. He had never played music in public before Baby Newt, though he did play with himself privately for years. Paul shares vocals, lead and rhythm guitar with Eric Skerbeck, who co-founded Baby Newt with Paul in 1996. Eric is known for his thunderously rockin'leads and his questionable sense of style. Joe Kollman, former member of a Relativity Records punk band called "Defenestration", adds his powerful beat on drums and contributes to vocals. Adam Dershewitz pulled out of goats and computers so that he could finesse his smooth bass groove into the complex chord changes, syncopated rhythms and wild leads generated by the rest of the guys.
