    Artist description
Is Drugs and Hip-Hop under the same Corporation Do You have too be connected to be a successful Hip Hop Artist? Why are a majority of successful Hip Hop artist closely aligned with the drug game? Well, we wont have to mention any specific names because the fact is that I have grown accustom to having my knee caps. I have had them for a while and I would like to continue wearing both of them. Here is my question. Are people that are involved in the drug game Naturally better rapers or is the music business and drug business connected and they let "there Own" in. Some might say that the drug experiences give an artist a better background to translate there experiences into this comparatively recent form of music. But the problem with that school of though is that there are people that have grown up around the same experience, that are not involved, and can rap and dont become famous for some reason...And oh sure they will let one artist in a great while make it through the conventional "work hard and succeed 'method, in order to keep suspicion away. Just as the public was shocked with all the gangsterism the took place in respect to the Tupac and Biggy and the pursuing situation that took place. Well, what if they lived that lifestyle before they became famous and their activities were consistent with the way they lived before the fame. Why havnt I heard of any rapers recently with a marketing degree from Hampton Institute that have cut a demo and have Blown Up (rap jargon for music that has become very successful). Are you telling me that there are no artist out there with positive achieving lifestyles that can pump out good Hip Hop. And also in some cases if enough air play if afforded to any music it will become a a hit (Thats Just my ???? dady) To be fair we do have to qualify this article. And with the exceptions like Ice Cube. I think in private life he is an educated businessman that before he steps out of his private domain, looks in the mirror and practices his MEAN FACE, turns his hat around backwards and says "now lets go do a show." Although his lingo is Rap contemporary, if you really listen to the ideas in his music, you will find it very intellectual. My question is this a huge laundering scheme. We take the music business and make it into a precursor for the drug business. Could the music business be a visible means of support for some other business? Sure the music business makes mega Bucks. But that money pales in comparison to the Illicid drug business. As many CDs that Tupak sold before his arrest, why was it necessary for him to go to someone else for bail money. Of course he might have livid the High Life. But the kind of money he generated should have afforded him that life style with some change left over. Well, that's it for me. Thanks for listening to me because I am sure that the more opportunity I get to bend peoples ears, usually...............................The less they like me. And as always if I have said anything in this article to offend anybody, and I say this from the bottom of my heart....................SCREW YOU! John Harrison jharri7602@aol.com
