Artist History
The Oddfellows were formed in May 1988 with Patrick Chng (guitar, vocals), "Casey" Soo Wai Cheong (drums)and Stephen Tan (bass?). Played their debut gig at the Singapore Arts Festival fringe Alternative Pop concert at the Botanic Gardens, Singapore on 5 June 1988. 1991: Line-up changes. Kelvin Tan (guitar) and Vincent Lee (bass)join the band. Exit Casey and Stephen. Released debut album "Teenage Head" in August 1991. First single "So Happy" topped the Perfect 10 (98.7FM)and Radio Heart (91.3FM) charts, fall 1991. 1992: Released second album "Carnival". First single "Unity Song", a Top 10 hit on Perfect 10, Radio Heart and no. 1 on Rediffusion. Late 1993, Johnny Ong auditioned and became The Oddfellows' new drummer. 2000: Currently working on new album. Title to be announced. |
