Artist History Formed in 1998 in Winchester by guitarist/vocalist steve petty and lead guitarist simon hemmings, mr moon enjoyed local success in and around King Alfred's College for two years. In 1999 original bassist mikey was replaced by harjap, and a smoother, less funk driven sound followed.Two demos were recorded during that time, although sadly in summer 2000 the band decided to call it quits.Mr moon is no more, but steve petty is still in the winchester area writing and performing, occassionally alongside simon hemmings, who is pursuing a career as an instrumental composer in his home town of bath.
