Press Reviews
"For the next 50 tracks you will be subjected to extreme situations on every level. Prescribed digital mayhem is the order of the day with this spellbinding version of the NeuralMan transmission that escapes the ordinary shell of just cut and paste rhythmic interludes. Beyond the scope of that, we see a rather melodious draw upon the use of digitized machina, circumferenced by what the teeming listener could relate to things that just don't exist. The die-form ecstasy prodding forth from Magical Cigarette's endeavors promotes the aesthete to ponder why this Digital Bath is necessary. Simple. Communication. These digital bits are encasing what we might consider here in the Land of Phrygia as a transmission of another order. Much like the musical devastation mastered by Neurotron 606, NeuralMan, and Oval. Promises of a bright future in electronic housewares prove to serve as this artist's tour de force. We here in the Land of Phrygia recognize such music as having depth, even though it sounds like the CD player is on the blink. " - a review from the radio station "Integrated Arts XI" "So far on the left, he's almost back on the right!" - Blimburn&Questor "this is surely not a "music maker" project. the sounds are cool and innovative and the beats do not sound like "menurumīnībassbeatno.56". well overthought, impacking arrangements, if you like electronica of the late nineties, a bit more independent, then you WOULD dance to this.
listen to "peaceloveandfreedom" the use of white noise and radio interferences in this rhythmic way is just fantastic.

Ok, here is some charmingly bizarre stuff, Not so much melodically focused as rhythmically. My interpretation in my typical artsy kind of way is that the rhythms (drum n bass style) convey the main musical idea or concept...even relate the story. There are interesting sound bytes interspersed here and there, with kind of detached spoken phrases. Also in there for atmosphere are some startling synth punches that are so focused they literally pierce your consciousness.
Not the type of stuff you really want to listen to if you're going mad, but really entertaining if you're sane
