Artist description
Leigh's music involves the ambition of longing. With the attitude of a wide-eyed traveller, or wistful connoiseur of dreams, he invokes the rain-soaked night flight onto streets of despair. Sometimes elegant, sometimes gritty, Leigh paints images with a unique palette of acoustic and electric guitar, garnished with prosaic passages that esconse themselves in the mind's eye quite comfortably. |

Artist History
Leigh Gregory, formally of San Diego and currently residing in San Fancisco, spent several years in the 80's fronting the Dispossessed (see link). After the band's premature demise, Leigh went onto work solo, pursuing a milder and more introspective sound with English folk and rock elements embraced. Leigh hooked up with several Hartford, CT area musicians and recorded a small catalog of songs that were intended for release. Some of this music appears here for the first time (other songs appear on various international compilations). Leigh is currently working with "Mellow Drunk", whose debut CD is now available."Mellow Drunk" continues to perfect the fine tradition indicated early on by some of the tracks heard here. Learn more about Mellow Drunk by following the Mellow Drunk link!We will be presenting some Mellow Drunk samples here shortly. |
