Artist History
FAiLSAFE from Austin,Texas formed in January 1996. The glue that kept them together was the love of punk rock. Their music was a mix of hardcore and melodic but there has always been an undeniable pop sensibility.
Now with the completion of their full length new CD
their emotional driven music is best described by this quote: “The recording quality is there, the professionalism is there..these guys are well on their way! For this reviewer a copy of their album is a must! These guys are ready for the big time, my suggestion to the rest of the listening world..Prepare to be assimilated! ” CLINT GAIGE www.godsofmusic.com Music reviewer/ & Radio Station Consultant /2001
Since FAiLSAFE recorded in 1999 with San Francisco punk rock pioneer producer Ryan Greene (NOFX, Lagwagon, Nerf Herder) they have become part of the incestuous Austin,Texas rock family and has shared the stage with Riddlin’ Kids (Aware Records) the Ataris (Columbia Records ) Superdrag and Schatzi.
A track from their CD was selected by Karyn Rachtman (Pulp Fiction) to be in the upcoming 2002 film “Getting Hal.” Recent Failsafe showcases - EAT-M Conference May 31st House of Blues /Las Vegas and the Rock-U Showcase-Austin,TX. Press Reviews
“True to their name, this band doesn’t miss!! They do a great job of crafting pop edged alternative songs. The guitar riffs are tight and the vocals are delivered with crisp enthusiasm. This is a band I think has a great deal of LONG TERM potential. In today’s glut of backstreet boy band wannabes, it is nice to hear an alternative rock band on the rise !!! If I was booking a college frat party these guys would be at the top of my booking list!” Brian Austin Whitney/Just Plain Folks-web site www.jpfolks.com / 2000
September 2000 FAiLSAFE wins ten GRAND in the mp3.com song contest .Their song “Outside of the World” will be in the upcoming
2002 movie “Getting Hal” and on the soundtrack
