Artist History
Crown of Anu was started by a music student attending Loyola University New Orleans sometime in 1999. Originally experimenting with industrial cartoon music, Crown of Anu grew obsessed with creating an unbalanced equation of harsh feedback, brutal subsonic frequencies, odd sound and fragile processed melodies. Since relocating to suburban Nashville in 2001, Crown of Anu has begun to experiment with various "normal" instruments used for evil purposes. A 70 minute/20 song debut CD, "Mara," was completed and made available in January of 2002. "Mermaid in a Manhole," taking it's name from a Japanese gore film, will be released in April of 2002. |
