Artist History Aes o' Spades began in the summer of 2000 when Mark E. Lopez (Aeson) mentioned to fellow music enthusiast Matt Leson (Spades) how great it would be to start a band. One thing lead to another, and another thing lead to mp3.com. Mark invited Samantha Skinner (Samm) to join the band a few days later.
