Artist History EL played in bands in the Connecticut/New York area including: Bwilde as keyboard player and back up vocalist and front person for Battraxx, and Johnny Plays with Matches at clubs including The Bitter End - New York City, EL and Gees, New London, University of Hartford, The Grotto, New Haven, D. Whitton's, Seymour and many others venues throughout the area.Johnny Plays with Matches won the 106 WHCN-FM 1991 Connecticut's best top ten rock band award for best original song called "Feed the Fire” which EL co-wrote and Sang. The song received airplay, in regular rotation, for two weeks on the station. Rock Fax Magazine, Nickel Studios and 106 WHCN-FM, who sponsored the contest, netted 300 tapes with ten finalists.While in Tampa guest singing with many different bands, her favorite, a show EL was featured as “Kashmir”, a guest artist for the band “Children of the Beat”, held at the Beacon Theatre in Orlando. The show was wild, with the audience dancing on top of speakers with her.In Tampa EL as a solo artist, she began to write and record and produce her first CD; then she formed Bay Island Records, Inc. and shortly after Bay Island Music Publishing (ASCAP). She then created her website http://www.bayislandrecords.com which she designs and maintains. She is now in the process of forming an Internet radio station. The song "My Inspiration" which has received alot of attention,reached #2 on the Billboardtalentnet radio. Twice EL was listed in the top ten favorite artists on billboardtalentnet, the peak at #6, which was listed in the February 19th issue of Billboard Magazine.

Press Reviews NY Rock Street Beat, Bill Ribas..."My Inspiration" and "Precious Love" are big new age numbers, that sound like background music in that movie where Tom cruise was trying to save a Unicorn. The other is a cover of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," done in a kind of Yanni meets Depeche Mode style. New age stuff ain't really for me, but it's done well here, and if your're the type that's into crystals and dreamcatchers, this is up your alley....nyrock.com
