Artist History The long awaited return of native Orlando's own "4U" is in the making with new sounds coming. This is truly a dedicated group ... there has not been such a young talented family like this in a long time. People will be taken with the depth of their ability and the strength of their music. "4U" transforms its family strength and perseverance into raw sanctified ballads. Their music invokes a wide range of emotions with a range allowing them to explore the pain of restoring broken relationships to taking simple trips back to the old school. "4U's" ability to deliver an up-lifting mid-tempo jam with a unique R&B groove allows the power of the family to shine through by bringing music to its purest form ... love! With influences ranging from gospel to urban contemporary, there is no denying the timelessness of the family's everyday life being reflected in their song writing, creating a no boundaries blend of classic and contemporary R&B. "4U" consists of four family members, three brothers, Robert "Reo", Eugene & Tony, and one sister, Sylvia. They formed the group in 1987 and began performing around the Orlando area. In 1996, the group released their first single titled "Home" from their "Just For You" CD and within only days it climbed to the Top 50 Urban R&B on Billboard Magazine. After the many long years of touring and gaining a very dedicated fan base, it appeared that "4U" had reached every artist's dream of stardom. However, their expectations were very short lived. Being young and having a lack of knowledge of the music industry, the group signed with a "new unknown independent Orlando based record label" which too lacked the experience and resources needed to carry "4U" to the next evel. The group members lost almost every material possession they owned. Only the love from a very close knit family and fans, plus there love of music kept them going. Financially ruined, their desire to succeed, and their love of music pushed them to work harder than ever to achieve what they almost had. The group was recently brought to the attention of some well known and respected producers and songwriters that have the talent and skills to assist in their growth and development. The group "4U" is associated with South Beach Music Group based in South Beach, Florida. With new direction and advise from SBMG, the group is taking it very slowly and once again gaining needed exposure and respect.
