Artist History
Guinness World Record ...The Longest Continuous Musical Performance By A Group Was 24Hours By "Screamin' Freeman And The World Record Band" At The Lyric Theater In Harrison,Arkansas, USA On 29-30 January 1999 Non-stop fun!Non-stop rock!Non-stop Screamin' excitement! That's what best describes "Screamin' Freeman and the World Record Band".The spontaneity and high energy of this three piece rock act is what has earned them a growing base of loyal fans known as Freemanites. The band is steadily performing four(4) to five(5) hours of non-stop and no-repeat performances. They perform around beautiful Harrison, Ar. and Branson, Mo. They have opened up for Black Oak Arkansas and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. Classic rock and blues are the music they prefer. But their original music is what's best about this band.A little about the band members:Screamin' Freeman Conner - lead guitar - lead vocals - harp - songwriter"The ever intense Mr. Screamin' Freeman Conner!" as Paul Woolston affectionately refers to him. That best describes Freeman. Lead guitarist, lead vocalist, harp player, songwriter, arranger, smooser, original in every sense of the word. Freeman is the unspoken leader of the band. "The energy of the three piece band and the adrenaline rush from playing non-stop is why I do it". Freeman fingers a '54 Custom Les Paul (among many others) and Marshall amps in addition to equipment ranging from classic antiques to state of the art. Screamin' Freeman endorses Hohner Harmonica.John Richard Schaffer - drums - vocalsDrummer, technician, sound engineer, instructor, and just an all around good guy. John is the heartbeat of the band. A "metronome" is what Freeman calls him. John's steady beat and the tightness of the band are what makes it electric. John pounds Sonor drums and Zildjian cymbals.Paul Woolston - bass - vocals"The artist known as Paul" is how Freeman refers to Paul Woolston on bass. Musician, artist, collector. Paul slaps a fretless Fender Precision bass and prefers the sound of Fender amps.Freeman................John................Paul |
