Press Reviews
Another mind blowing show by Nectar Way at the Wild Duck in Eugene, Or. Playing every thing from reggae, funk, jazz, latin, and trance electronica. The group has sored to new heights with the addition of two feemale vocalist who just wail. The explosive and immpressive technical solos of guitarist Matt Lockhart were both soulful and impressive. Matt and Keyboardist Steve Waitt sang uplifiting, soulful, and revolutionary lyrics. One by One, we can make a change, sings steve, accompanied by the rest of the group. We are the people, people take a stand, belts out Lockhart. "Join the Revolution" and "BrainWashed Babies" are other tunes about changing the world for the better. Mighty King is about a how the rich can miss out on the simplisities of life, Love, and happiness. "Kyron Speaks" is how a down and out man on his last dollar can save the world if he tries. The Positive vibe and the high energy jams are the trade mark for this Eugene, Oregon favorite. With their debut C.D. and first tour starting in Sept. of 2000, all us home townfans are excited to see how far Nectar Way will go. |
