Artist History
Originally concepted back in November 99, it wasn't until July of 2000 that the first track created by us was published to the net, it was called Databass - Psychodelic and was a massive success on the underground sites, in September of 2000 urged by the success of our track Power Surge on underground sites, signed up with MP3.com and got Power Surge to No.44 in their Hard Trance charts, since then it's been a case of getting as many people to hear our tracks as we're able to, with success at MP3.com growing, Sonic Impulse going to No.6 in Hard Trance and No.2 Trance overall for the UK, we decided that it's time we expanded. The music is constantly evolving, currently all our music is entirely computer generated, but when you compare our newer tracks with the old one's it's instantly obvious that our newer tracks have a lot more depth to them and generally are more professional sounding.Further success was gained in the early months of 2001 when at one point there were 3 tracks by us, Sonic Impulse, Gateway To Mars and Power Surge all in the Hard Trance Top40 overall. On 17 May 2001 we decided to change our name on mp3.com to DATABASS as a sign of changing times and a need for a catchier name to help introduce our music to a new audience. |
