Kim Fowley, an innovative sub-underground artist featured on "Freak Out" by the Mothers Of Invention (Frank Zappa's first gold record), explodes on MP3 with his latest solo album."Young Flesh City " = a modern subversive Zappa meets mutant techno… stupid and sinister, creepy and mysterious, gloom and doom…ideal for the rave explorers among you fast drivers and tortured souls who dare to dream alone in dark empty rooms. Fowley spends multiple months of each year in the UK and Europe. You may find his vocals on such products as, "Bentley Rhythm Ace" (Sony UK), "Drum-And-Bass Mania” (The Junglist) "Emporia UK Essential Ambient Trance” (Intrinsic Records UK)Besides these UK compilations, Fowley is featured on two UK solo Albums… "Let The Madness In" (Trojan-Receiver Records LTD UK) and "The Trip Of a Lifetime" on (Voice Print UK).While in Glasgow, Fowley sang on Future Pilot AKA, a product via Satellite Records UK / Beggers Banquet USA. Fowley’s psychedelic classic "The Trip", was covered by Skylab on Eye Q Records UK, with engineereing by William Orbit and an additional mix created by Roni Size.Fowley’s other UK production credits include product by Teenage Fan Club, BMX Bandits, Space Monkeys, and the Nylon Bombers. Fowley recorded with Sin, a part of the Kruder-Doreif Mister musical family, while in Vienna, Austria. In summer 2000, Kim Fowley wrote and published a song in the movie "Big Mama's House" (20th Century Fox). The Kim Fowley - Joan Jett classic "Cherry Bomb" has been recorded by One Plus One, and is the first single on their debut album (Electra USA). Seven Fowley songs can be found on the Birds’ box set (Sony) and one song on the Motley Crue re-issue album "Too Fast For Love" (Beyond BMG). Look for a Fowley song on the next Nirvana Box set at the end of 2000, and an additional song on Cat Steven’s London Records Box set due in late 2000.
