Artist description
Jing Ji's uncoprimising love for the people who come to hear her sing has roots 30 years deep and 10,000 miles wide. They begin in the great opera houses of China and bring her presently to the churches, schools and concert halls of Vermont. Jing Ji's professional career was launched in 1968 with tours to opera houses and stages throuout China, Finland, and Hong Kong. In 1978 she began twelve years with the Central Opera House of Beijing, where among many highlights, her singing career now includes performances of traditional Chinese singing and Western opera, as well as Traditional Chinese Arts.Performance : $5,000/sliding scale |
