Artist History
Jean-Nicolas Boursiquot began the piano in 1989, at the age of 9 with Mrs. Lorraine Thibault. 2 years later, he won his first medal (silver) in the Silleryıs provincial music competition (1991). In 1992, he won a trophee for his interpretation of ²Theme and Variations on a Russain folk song² composed by Kabalevsky. In 1994, he entered in the piano class of Mrs Georgette Sinclair. He gratuated from the Laval University, in the special piano music program (1998) and the Quebecıs Academy of music (2000).He has participated to many concerts such as ³Cegeps en Spectacle² (1998) and ³Show Amateur du FESSUL² (2000) and has appeared in many musical evenements like Galas during his High School or Christmas concerts in Place Ste-Foy, one of the biggest shopping mall of Quebec city.Since 1990, Jean-Nicolas Boursiquot has composed over 50 songs, most of it for his favourite instrument, piano. He presently works at a piano concerto. |
