Artist History Brenda Gunn.Brenda, now aged 23 and from Ireland, first sang on stage with a local variety group from Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, at the age of seven.When she was 15 years old, she formed a group called 'Close Harmony' with her two sisters Paula and Caroline. Together they won 'The Northern Ireland Busking Championships', two years in a row.For several years Brenda performed along with her sisters before taking the plunge and stepping out on her own, into the cut and thrust of the music business.In this last year things have really started to happen for Brenda...she won a first prize of £1,000 at the 'Bridgeford leisure center talent contest in Drogheda and performed on B.B.C. Radio. She then went on to win a £500 talent contest at the All Stars Club in Strabane Co. Tyrone.After obtaining her 'BTEC National Diploma In Performing Arts', Brenda went on to 'The Rose Of Tralee Festival' to support such artists as; Westlife, Beautiful South, James Brown, Brian Kennedy etc.Brenda says the greatest thrill of her musical career so far, was singing a duet with the tremendous 'Christy Hennessy', at his 1999 open air concert in Tralee, to thousands of people.Her CD single 'Moving On' was released in November 99 and Brenda is hard at work on her new album, which will be released early 2001.This young and talented singer-songwriter, has a very bright future in the world of music and here at TOM & JERRY Records we predict she will be a household name, in a very few short years from now.
