As time passed, the core members Frank Randall, Bob Ryu, G.S. Han, and Mike Joo continued to record original songs during reunions. VGE's first CD, "Ono", was released in 1999, and includes music recorded during 1997-1998. |

Press Reviews
"Van Gogh's Ear has birthed a sound with the explosiveness of an amniotic sac. This is music that can deflower a virgin, change a holy man's faith, start my car without a key." --- Steve Kaback, Old Town Gazette........................................................................................................."The band reminds of The Presidents of the United States of America. The band is very talented and makes their music primarily for fun. The music is best described as alternative/eclectic rock and roll yet you'll find hints of The Beach Boys, Adam Sandler, The Beatles, and yes, even Elvis....Almost every song is lyrically pointless, yet manages to get your foot tapping...If you're in the mood for something just plain wacky, but not ear-splitting, look into Minneapolis, Minnesota's Van Gogh's Ear." -- Andy Wirtanen, www.indulged.com |
