Artist description
Melodic hardcore punk with fast, catchy hooks and a sense of humor. However, SFS (as they are widely known) is not just another punk band, their music has been compared to hardcore and rock, while retaining a style all their own. What is the band's recipe for success? Mix equal parts of old and new-school punk, add a dash of metal, a pinch of hardcore flavor, a measure of cynical irony, and pop sensibility. Swirl it all together, and SFS's fresh, original sound will emerge. |

Stick Figure Suicide began in 1997, playing backyard parties, local hall shows, and practicing in a basement. These modest beginnings along with their diligence and hard work helped them to gain a large, loyal following.Since those early days, SFS has shared the stage with such national acts as: Saves The Day, H2O, Link 80, The Bouncing Souls, Midtown, Orange 9mm, Guttermouth, Kottonmouth Kings, Digger, Ten Foot Pole, The Teen Idols, Catch 22, Nobodys, Beefcake, Anti-Flag, The Casualties, Pezz, The Gadjits, Inspecter 7, Down By Law, Vision, Fat, Discount (RIP), Plan A Project, and many others. After having toured with the likes of Bigwig, Douglas, California's Luckie Strike, and covering the East Coast on their own, SFS was invited to play The Vans Warped Tour 1999 and 2000 in Asbury Park, NJ. |

Press Reviews
"SFS displays some pretty good energy of their own ... overall a pretty good record." -- Maximum Rock N' Roll"REALLY great debut album for these five guys from Milltown, New Jersey! With this album, they prepare us to a punk world dominated by SFS. Lucky for us, they're good!" -- Thicker Zine (Canada)"Mix the technical precision and clean, overdrive guitars of Bad Religion with the adrenaline rush and hyperspeed tempos of Minor Threat and you begin to get an approximation of Stick Figure Suicide ... [SFS] looks ready to break out of NJ's all ages underground punk scene and take on the world." -- Jim Testa, Jersey Beat Zine |
