Artist History Silver Needle (formerly Gloryhole) formed in the Winter of 1999 in a Hollywood Boulevard studio. The location was set in between the stars of Bela Lugosi and Jayne Mansfield; elegant, dark, beautiful legends whose lives were elevated to greatness and ended in tragedy. The band consists of rock and roll vagabonds that have traveled from major music cities to dawn upon Hollywood to form a project that combines passion, energy, and melodic songwriting. Silver Needle fuses 70's glam, punk, and hard rock to form a sound that is fresh, unique, and memorable. Silver Needle has played with several national acts including Dee Dee Ramone, Dr. Know, American Pearl, Gilby Clarke of Guns N' Roses, Leif Garrett, and the Rollins Band at several key Hollywood venues including the Viper Room, Troubadour, Dragonfly, & the Whisky a Go-Go. Silver Needle was recently featured on KLOS 95.5 FM - Los Angeles on their Local Licks show. The act has received media attention in Los Angeles and this attention has extended to the Italian, German, and Canadian markets. Silver Needle's mandate is simple: to create a complete package of great songwriting, thoughtful image orientation, adrenaline-fueled live performances, and a cutting-edge stylistic gestalt. Silver Needle uses SIT Strings and Pro-Mark drum sticks exclusively.
