Artist description
When life is pushing me around I pick up my guitar and give it a push back! I love to write and am well known for using the backs of business cards to write a song idea down on when I'm somewhere without paper. I go to university for classical guitar and play a lot of blues and rock when I'm elsewhere. |

Artist History
I started playing back in '92, took guitar in high school under an amazing guitar teacher named Scott Leonard, and discovered I really liked it a lot. In '96 I had a band which, though it ended, gave me an entire lifetime's worth of experience when it comes to bands. Now I go to Dalhousie University for classical guitar under an incredible guitar proffessor named Douglas Reach. Though as mentioned before, i tend to play a lot of blues, rock and jazz when I'm elsewhere. This culmination of influences, as well as an absolute pure love of music, gives me (I'm quite happy to say) a rather unique sound that allows me to blend all of the aforementioned genres into my playing constantly. |

Press Reviews
These aren't "Press" exactly... but they are amazing comments from an interesting range of people and places that I'm very proud of: "Quite a gifted guitar player, almost an ethereal experience watching this man create. With an amazing grasp of the subject matter and style, Ryan plays with a passion and a knowledge that seems almost god-given. Very much up your alley if you enjoy solo guitar music." Geoff Kennedy, recording artist (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) "Wow!!!! That's what I call a talented boy; I'm speechless, he is wonderful!; it's a pleasure hearing the guitars, they really touch your heart; he really makes you feel the music. I wonder how does he feel the latin music. I sent it to my friends and they love it. Does he have a record? Where can we buy it? Congratulations, I really love it." - Regina Sánchez (Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico) "It was a GREAT song man..." - Pat Ruscio (Oakdale Record Company) "i'm overwhelmed..what a beautiful, moving piece of music...i can't wait to play it for michael..thanks so much.." - Janice Foley (head o jeddore, hfx.co) |
