Artist History
Originally from San Diego, Lee got started in music in the early '90s, performing at clubs, coffee shops, and benefits (M.A.D.D., Ramona Cancer Society and Walk for M.S.) By the mid '90s he was fronting his own band, "Gypsy River," and opened for the '80s band "Missing Persons" (Dale Bozzio). Soon after, he was performing all around San Diego, at such venues as the Belly Up Tavern, The Casbah, Viejas Casino (Dreamcatcher Showroom), as well as live performances on local TV Stations, KUSI Morning Show and KNSD.
In 1999 Lee moved to Nashville, TN - where he "cut his teeth" playing alongside many of the city's finest songwriters. He also performed at Riverfest in Clarksville and Riverwalk in Nashville. Lee then moved back to the west coast and spent the latter part of 2000 performing in Las Vegas, before returning to San Diego, where he is now a regular performer at the San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fair,) Borders Books & Music Stores, various coffee shops and clubs, including Tio Leo's and Blind Melons. Lee can also be found roaming up and down the west coast of California performing at various Borders Books & Music Stores - a staple in his schedule. He performs anywhere from 100 to 150 shows a year.
Lee's music has been described as passionate, moving, intense and straight from the heart. With three studio albums and his fourth CD, "emancipate" set for released in September, Lee will venture off to Austin, Texas, for the next chapter in his musicial journey

Press Reviews
From amidst a plethora of singer/songwriters, Lee Tyler Post has managed to pull off a coup of sorts. His southern rock leanings are in full view on his body of work. So are the collective messages of hope and faith, rendered most obviously through the lyrics, but also on a more subtle level. The interesting thing is that he doesn't restrict himself to any particular style or even one single chain of thought. He plays with incredible heart, cutting across meaningless divides like 'radio station classifications' and 'sub-genres'. What you're left with at the end are thoughts bordering solely on the music.
An effective way of gauging artists is by seeing how they describe their own music. Often, those a little short on talent will wax eloquent about how they're bringing in new sounds or how much they adore the Beatles. On the other hand, you'll find groups being cynical about their own songs to a really ridiculous extent. This guy though, simply calls his music 'Rock & Soul'. Seeing how the music is laced with a stirring memorability, it's evident that Lee Tyler Post is far from being 'soul'ed out ~ review by Siddharth Dasgupta
