Artist History Composed of members of former local bands Curtis Strange and Mixed Jones, the band came together in October of 1998 just to play music and have a good time. Somewhere along the way some songs were written and the band became the finely tuned machine it is today (heh). After going through a variety of name changes such as Jack Blasters, Drone, and Dick for Short, they finally agreed on Key 17 (read Grant Morrison's Invisibles if you want to know what Key 17 is).
