Artist History
What started as an idea on a train station has now culminated into one of the most sought after bands in North America.Around 6:05 PM on August 1992, two fellow passenges started talking to each other at North Station, Boston. Just because the train was late. One was a young dreamy-eyed singer named Gaurav, the other a rhythmist named Sandeep. They started performing together. Soumya met them at Harvard while performing in a culture show. Haril, an accomplished percussionist himself, hooked up with Sandeep and eventually with the rest as a guitarist a year after. Finally, Falguni completed the band that K A R Y S H M A is now.The band's breathtaking performances have won the hearts of countless audiences across the nation. KARYSHMA gives consistently sold-out performances around the country, from Miami to Maine and from San Diego to Boston. They have performed in diverse venues, from Indian Ambassador's mansion in Washington D.C. to South Asian groups of universities like Stanford, Harvard, Duke and UPenn. |
