Artist History DistempA started out with Steven, Rory and Mark forming a not so seriouse band in late 1998, jamming a few nights wheneva they could. Rory mentioned about a guitarist from school he knew that maybe interested in joining the band, so they organised a jam session with guitarist Reece. The band being very happy with the sound recruited its forth member. After a few months of jamming they decided to look for a singer, and after a few failure attempts, Reece then mentioned that he had a mate that he talks to about the band who may want to try out for the front man position. They all had a jam with Dale singing through a bass amp, and obviously the band liked the sound they got. They then practised for their first gig and found out the lad whos party it was for was a DJ, so they all had a jam on the night, and the DistempA sound was created

Press Reviews Distempa yet again Blew the roof off the Governer Hindmash Hotel in yet anouther mind blowing performance. The six young performers turned the heads of both the young and old. Their performance on stage was energetic and outstanding to watch, they simply "Went off". There short set consited of mainly original material but they pumped out an excellent version of 'killing in the name' by Rage Against the Machine. Make sure you catch this young band next time they play, as they are the next big thing.
