Press Reviews
"The Excuses make me think of summertime, breakups, heartache, girls, driving fast with the windows down, good times with friends, rainy nights with that special someone and everything else that is part of the teenage life. These songs remind me of high school in the best way possible. The songs are catchy, melodic, and tight. Every chorus sticks in your head and there's more emotion behind the music than with most bands. The music will make you think and smile and sometimes cry like when you think about your old best friend who you've grown distant from and how things will never be the same. Songs about girls that aren't the same old sappy "i'm in love" kinda songs. They paved the way for the Kansas City punk rock scene. Listen and be amazed at how often you'll be singing these songs again when you're walking to your next class. I love these guys" - C4 issue #4 (local KC zine) |
