Artist description David Hutchison is one of Canada's most versatile and experienced drummer/percussionists, with a musical background that spans virtually every current genre. Jazz, Pop, Reggae, Calypso, Country Roack, Latin, Rhythm and Blues, Fusion, Big Band and more, have all been integral parts of his 20 year career as a professional musician.

Artist History When you look at this performers biography it is obvious that "variety is the spice of life, is his motto. From jazz, pop, funk, latin, if it has a beat, then Dave will go for it.He is an accomplished drummer/vocalist, and a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Over his twenty years as a musician he has worked in many different venues in both the commercial and jazz field. Dave toured with the celebrated British R&B singer, Long John Baldry, and our own dynamic R&B artist Liberty Silver. He has also recorded in studios across North America, and Europe. In the jazz vein he has performed with Richie Cole, Don Englert, Bob Mover, Roy Hargrove, Pat Labarbera, Ed Bickert and Kieran Overs, to name a few.Daves new CD, Out On A Limb, was recorded live at the Montreal Bistro. Out On A Limb Living on the edge is a way of life for me and going out on a limb is a very real part of that attitude. It seems I've alwaysbeen there, just dangling... sometimes I've fallen, but somehow I always manage to bounce backI've enjoyed playing most styles of music throughout my thirty year career and this CD is a culmination of all those infuences and experiences.This CD represents two evenings at the ever popular Montreal Bistro in Toronto. It was produced with the hope of capturing the magic that occurs while playing for a live audience.I felt that if I couldn't garner a CD's worth of material from two or three nights of playing live, then maybe the limb I'm out on is shorter than I think.Thanks to the stellar lineup of musicians, I believe we did it! I hope you feel the same.
