    Artist History
Evan D first came to Moonkloud Independent Records back in March of 2000. He had an aura about him. The rumors surrounding his background were hard to buy at first. But as time went on i found them to be more and more intriguing. On a cold dark night, Moonkloud was working hard up in the studio when he got a call. It was from someone claiming i HAD to hear them. I was bothered to say the least. So i said look, who the *%$# are you to tell me what i need to hear ? You think you got what it takes ? Al right #@&%, bust some %#@& or ill ****in hand up on your ****in #%&.So i hit the record button on the answering machine to just mess with the amateur. I said for your information this will be recorded. GO!!! And what i heard next made me hang up. The next day, i was sitting in the board room in a meeting with my board of directors hard at work on PROJECT SATOVAN and this short skinny white guy and three BIG thugs walked up to the door. My secretary told him i was in a meeting. But he told her to get out of the way and his three thugs picked her up and put her in the closet. There was a commotion outside the board room so i called security. They came up and they found this short guy and his three thugs trying to break down the board room door. So they started to apprehend the four individuals and i heard the situation out side and went to open the door to see what had happened. As i went for the door a gun went off and the building went silent....The next day i was relaxing in the lounge thinking about my dead security guards and what had just happened. I was totally shocked about the previous days occurrences. I started thinking about this guy who called 2 days earlier and i remembered the tape. So i went to the studio and opened my answering machine and got the tape. I loaded it into the studio system and i played it back. Sitting there i fell asleep. As i slept i dreamt i was visited by a old friend i had back in Hollywood. Quick was his name, he was a short skinny black man with a sk-8 board and a pager. He and i talked that night about this guy who came into the studio the previous day. Quick told me that in the rap game, there's nothing more potent then street cred. And i asked him about what he meant and he said there are people out there who are posers and they couldn't rap even if they sing real good. In the rap game its not about how good you are, its about how many people can identify with you as an artist and individual. The next morning i woke up to a gun in my face, it was him, i looked down the barrel at him strait in the eye and said. Al right you got your shot !Evan D and Moonkloud came to an agreement two weeks later. Moonkloud agreed to record Evan even though his vocals needed allot of work, and Evan agreed to pay an undisclosed amount of money to promote his project. Moonkloud agreed to do all the backing Instrumentation and vocals and Evan agreed to write and sing the lead vocals. The history behind the name Evan was given ? Evan’s historical background from what i can tell is one of a dusty past. Hidden from society by the vail of obscurity. Dust-E
