Artist History
Formed, 1996, still fighting against the grain... had suffer a lot of lineup changes but all considered for the benefit of the music... we have released two studio albums... and numerous demo / Ep...
First released in late 1995 the CC Ep. containing 12 songs from which almost none made it to the next face of the band but did managed to get played on several radio shows and got the media attention... then in 1996 the "Do it for yourself" Ep. which contained 5 songs: T.V., You, Snoopy, Mayo..., La Chalupa. From which T.V. and You got some major radio airtime...
In mid august 1997 the "living embodiment..." demo was released containing four tracks that would soon be the full lenght album... these tracks were: E.L.E., Dreamland, Embodiment (Blair version), U/S, Priscilla in the Pond (still unreleased).
By 1998 the band had gained some popularity in the underground scene around the world, contacts had been made to tour the U.S., Canada and Europe, while still working in a Latin America Tour which was intended to hit El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil.
A video and live tape were released in October of 1998, the video contained a variety of shows taped along the way, some studio time and stuff... the live tape was a compilation of songs from the December 13th. 1996 show on LA BARRACA, in which domestic totally destroyed the stage and created the actual fanbase...
Another demo tape was released in march - june 1999 containing two tracks from the forthcoming album: Seventy Times Seven & Hellgap...
All through 1999 domestic played several shows all over the country and in Central America, and the biggest show took place on december 4th. where a sum of 10000 fans showed up and supported the band... Throughout the year 2000, with the end of the world nowhere to be found domestic kept working in the studio and playing in different showcases, by November 2000 the awaited album finally reaches record stores... "...still waiting for the end" selling all it's units in less than a week, one of the most powerfull and hybrid albums of the end of the millenium.
At current date domestic fool is getting ready to relaunch some old songs, play a couple of shows and start working on the new album which will be totally different from what "...still waiting for the end" was, a more experienced, mature and perturbed band lurks in the streets of the city... finding the sounds and textures that will define the new terms in music creation for them. |
