Artist description Chororchesterfreizeit is a short form of Chor-Orchester-Freizeit, which means Choir/Orchestra camp. It's a project where a group of about 70 young people from age 15 on, mostly amateur musicians, met together for a few days to study parts of the oratories "The Creation" from Haydn and "Elias" from Mendelssohn. They studied one movement of "The Creation" and seven movements of the "Elias" in only about three days time! On the last day, everything was performed in a nice concert hall. The recordings on this page are from that performance.
